Drama activities used in EFL teaching

The paper attempts to present the review of the previous studies regarding drama activities employed in English as foreign language teaching (EFL) in which three main parts are described in each dedicated section. Specifically, the introduction of drama is first delineated to reflect how this potential technique plays a role in the language education, followed by the theoretical framework of drama. This section covers the definitions of drama proposed by a wide range of researchers. It is noted that the researcher, basing on the previous definitions also defines drama in a different way. Additionally, drama activities including role play, simulation and improvisation are then displayed in detail which help readers gain the perception of how each drama activity is used in classrooms. The conclusions underscoring the applicability of drama-based activities in EFL pedagogical contexts are finally provided in the paper.
