The issue of teaching and learning political theory courses at universities and colleges has been concerned and discussed by leaders, educational administrators, academic researchers, and lecturers. Being the administrator of a tertiary education institution and directly lecturing at universities over the years, the author presents an overview of the reality of teaching and learning political theory courses, and then gives some recommendations in order to enhance the quality of teaching and learning these courses.
